Azamara Cruises has expanded its onboard entertainment programme with the introduction of new stage productions on Azamara Journey, developed in partnership with RWS Global.
The programme was introduced on Azamara Journey on 21 May 2026 during the ‘Spain Intensive Cruise’ itinerary, which includes Barcelona, Ibiza and Majorca. Two new productions, Rendezvous in Paris and Cinemaphonic, have been added alongside existing shows Written in the Stars and Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions.
“Entertainment is an essential part of the onboard experience, and we’re excited to continue evolving our programming aboard Azamara Journey,” said Simon Blacoe, vice president of hotel operations at Azamara Cruises. “These new productions bring together incredible talent, memorable music and immersive storytelling to create dynamic performances that guests can enjoy throughout their sailing.”
The rollout follows the initial launch of the programme on Azamara Pursuit and forms part of a wider fleet-wide update to evening entertainment offerings. Rendezvous in Paris is a cabaret-style production inspired by Paris, while Cinemaphonic is a musical revue centred on film-inspired narratives. Both productions have been developed specifically for Azamara and are designed to integrate music, choreography and visual elements.
The shows Written in the Stars and Vinyl Records: The Studio Sessions are being introduced across the Azamara fleet, with further rollouts scheduled for Azamara Quest on 26 November 2026 and Azamara Onward on 13 April 2027.
The programme forms part of a multi-year collaboration between Azamara and RWS Global, which began in 2017 and focuses on the development of onboard entertainment content across the fleet.
