American Cruise Lines has added Starlink satellite internet to its fleet of small and river cruise ships, providing connectivity across all the destinations it sails to.

Starlink is powered by a constellation of lower earth orbit (LEO) satellites, which provides a stable connection to the moving vessels. American tested the service during 2022, receiving positive feedback from guests using the platform.

The Starlink Wi-Fi service will be complimentary for all passengers onboard American’s 2023 cruises. The cruise line will have 17 ships sailing throughout 2023, including three more new vessels which will be introduced during the year.
