Ambassador Cruise Line has appointed retailer Harding to deliver the retail offering for guests onboard the cruise line’s first ship, Ambience, with an option for its second ship, Ambition.
Harding will source products for Ambassador’s guests to purchase whilst at sea, including fine jewellery, beauty products, toiletries, fragrances, electricals, Ambassador Cruise Line merchandise, liquor, cigarettes, confectionery and gifts.
“This is a significant step in Harding’s history, and I am delighted to confirm our partnership with Ambassador Cruise Line,” said Neil Harding, president of Harding. “We work in a total quaternity approach to deliver the most commercial arrangement with our partners, providing the best products with the right experiences and right brands both for the customer and their holiday destination. Our ambition is to make every cruise better through the retail experience. We are delighted that Ambassador Cruise Line has put its trust in Harding here in the UK.”
Sailing from London Tilbury, Ambassador’s no-fly itineraries will provide a cruise experience aimed at the over-50s. Ambience will set sail on her inaugural cruise on 6 April this year, while Ambition will enter service in 2023.
“We chose Harding as Ambassador’s cruise travel retail partner as they are one of the global leaders in onboard retailing and services,” said Bob McGowan, head of guest experience at Ambassador Cruise Line. “They deliver on commercial performance and help build partnerships that will offer us and our guests’ relevant brands, great service and innovative customer experiences on our ships.”
