Turnkey construction and outfitting contractor Almaco Group recently completed work in all the guest and crew cabins, and the crew public areas, onboard Swan Hellenic’s new vessel, SH Minerva.

The ship has 76 cabins, including six suites across the Oceanview, Balcony, Suite and Premium Suite categories, which vary in size between 19 and 49 metres squared and are all decorated in a Scandinavian style.

SH Minerva, which embarked on her inaugural sailing on 27 December 2021, carries 120 crew members alongside 152 guests, meaning that crew cabins and public areas were an important part of the design. Almaco has worked with Swan Hellenic to create comfortable and spacious cabins for crew members.

The work was carried out at Helsinki Shipyard in Finland and completed in November 2021.

“It has been great to work with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic on this project,” said Esko Ryyppö, project manager of the Vega series at Almaco. “The project got off to a good start already in April 2020 and was completed in one and half years. We were expecting challenges due to the unstable market situation and took extra precautions to ensure the project was a success. Thanks to the great cooperation with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic we were able to deliver the project successfully.”
