Crystal Cruises chooses long-standing design partner for first new ocean cruise ships since 2003

London-based design firm AD Associates is to work on the interiors of Crystal Cruises’ new luxury Diamond Class ships.

AD Associates, which has a long-standing relationship with Crystal Cruises, will lead the initial planning, feasibility studies and concept design for the first of the 67,000gt Diamond Class vessels. Set to join the fleet in 2022, Crystal Diamond and will be the first new ocean-going ship to join Crystal Cruises since 2003. The 800-guest vessel will be built at MV Werften’s yard in Germany and incorporate many of the elements found on Crystal’s two existing ocean ships and its new expedition yacht and river cruise vessels.

AD Associates’ most recent Crystal projects include the interiors of the line’s first expedition yacht, Crystal Endeavor, and the full refurbishment of ocean ship Crystal Serenity.
