British cruise line Cunard has unveiled seven themed voyage itineraries for 2024.

Four of the seven voyages will take place onboard Cunard’s flagship Queen Mary 2 as it crosses the Atlantic Ocean, while the remaining three will be offered onboard Queen Elizabeth as it sails around Australia and Japan.

“Cunard’s Event Voyages offer far more than just stand out performances,” said Angus Struthers, acting senior vice president for Cunard. “Each is expertly curated to offer our guests unique opportunities to immerse themselves into theme or occasion, meeting and hearing from world-renowned leaders in their fields, many with interactive workshops and a programme of activities and performances to choose from throughout the day and evening.  And of course, all offered with the luxurious backdrops of the Cunard Queens and all while enjoying the signature touches you can always look forward to with Cunard.”

New for 2024, Cunard will offer sports fans the opportunity to sail onboard Queen Elizabeth with some of Australia’s sporting superstars, including cricketer Brett Lee and golfer Karrie Webb, as part of its ‘Sporting Greats & Wellness Voyage’ in January 2024.

Also new for 2024 is Queen Mary 2’s 400th transatlantic crossing from New York, USA, to Southampton, UK, in August. The commemorative voyage will celebrate “history in the making”.

Back for 2024 is Cunard’s ‘London Theatre at Sea’ voyage, an eight-night eastbound transatlantic crossing jointly hosted with long-term partner the Olivier Awards. This musical theatre-themed voyage will feature acting workshops, behind-the-scenes talks and performances, all curated by Julian Bird OBE, executive producer of the Olivier Awards.

Food and wine lovers can board Queen Elizabeth in January for the ‘Great Australian Culinary Voyage’, while Queen Elizabeth’s nine-night ‘Big Band Ball’ voyage, dedicated to the Swing era, will sail to across Japan in May.

In October, Queen Mary 2 will embark on the 15th anniversary sailing of Cunard’s nine-night National Symphony Orchestra voyage, curated by maestro Anthony Inglis. On this eastbound transatlantic crossing, guests will have the opportunity to rehearse with the choir by day and enjoy classical concerts in the Royal Court Theatre by night.

In November, book lovers can sail the seven-night ‘Literature Festival at Sea’, a westbound transatlantic crossing curated by the programming team of The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival. Each sailing will feature more than 20 acclaimed authors.
