Windstar Cruises is to offer its first-ever New England and Canada itineraries in summer/autumn 2018.

Homeporting in New York for the first time, the 212-guest, all-suite Star Pride will sail four new itineraries spanning 9 to 16 days in the region. Guests will be able to visit Canadian destinations such as Gaspe, Saguenay Fjord, Montreal, Charlottetown on Prince Edward Island, as well as ports and towns in New England. These include Rhode Island, Provincetown and Boston in Massachusetts, and Portland, Rockland and Bar Harbor in Maine.

“New York is a city of legendary over-achievers, and we have every intention of over delivering on our brand’s New England and Canada experiences, including our maiden call to Manhattan with Star Pride,” said John Delaney, Windstar president. “New York is one of our major markets, a key gateway, and one of the world's great destination cities in its own right. We are thrilled to make Windstar so easily accessible to such a large national and international audience by being in New York.”

Windstar’s announcement follows the news that Star Pride’s sister ship Star Legend will sail to Alaska and along Canada’s west coast in spring/summer 2018. The deployment marks the first time the company has sailed to and from North America in several years.
