Viking River Cruises is to launch seven new river cruise ships in 2019.

Six of the vessels – Viking Einar, Viking Sigrun, Viking Sigyn, Viking Tir, Viking Ullur and Viking Vali – will sail on the Rhine, Main and Danube rivers and feature Viking’s signature Longship design. Each 190-passenger vessel will feature all-outside cabins, multiple dining venues and the line’s popular Aquavit Terrace.

A smaller Longship-style vessel, Viking Helgrim, will set sail on the Douro River in Portugal.

Viking also debuted two Longships in 2017, six in 2016, 12 in 2015, 18 in 2014 and 10 in 2013 . The company has also been expanding its ocean cruise division.
