Tarragona Cruise Port Costa Daurada has secured its first regular homeporting deal, signing up Costa Cruises’ Costa neoRiviera for 17 weekly Mediterranean departures this summer.

Costa neoRiviera will sail weekly departures from Tarragona between 2 June and 22 September, calling at Savona and Porto Torres in Italy, as well as Menorca, Ibiza, Formentera and Palma in Spain. The deployment will bring around 25,000 guests to the Spanish port.

The vessel will be berthed in Tarragona for 17 hours (9am to 2am the following day), allowing passengers to visit the city’s various attractions before starting their cruise. Costa has also signed an agreement with PortAventura World to enable passengers to purchase a special package that includes access to the attraction, fast-track passes, transfers, and a one- or two-night stay at the park when they return to Tarragona after their cruise.

Tarragona will also host two calls from Costa Favolosa – one in September and another in October – which will bring an additional 7,000 passengers to the port.
