Saga aims to attract new-to-cruise passengers by offering four short cruises from Dover and Southampton, UK to destinations in Europe next year.

Offered on the 720-guest Saga Sapphire, the four-day ‘Easter Escape’ departs Southampton on 14 April and includes calls in St Peter Port, Guernsey and the French ports of Cherbourg and Le Havre. From Le Havre, guests will be able to enjoy a day trip to Honfleur or Paris, before returning to Dover, UK.

Saga Sapphire will also operate a five-night ‘A French Interlude’ voyage from Dover to St Peter Port, Cherbourg and Brest, France, before returning to Dover. Optional tours include a visit to see the Bayeux Tapestry and the villages of La Hague.

A five-night ‘Continental Christmas Markets’ cruise will depart Southampton onboard Saga Sapphire on 3 December and take guests to traditional Christmas markets in Bremerhaven for Bremen, Germany; Ijmuiden for Amsterdam, Holland and Zeebrugge for Bruges, Belgium.

Meanwhile, Saga Pearl II will sail a six-day ‘May Bank Holiday Getaway’ on 30 April 30. Highlights will include overnight calls in Rouen and Normandy in France, as well as St Peter Port, and Falmouth in Cornwall, UK. The garden-themed cruise includes the option to visit Monet’s garden at Giverny, France and the Eden Project or Trebah Gardens in Cornwall.

Prices for all cruises include UK travel to and from the port, accommodation and meals, a choice of wines at lunch and dinner, afternoon tea, 24-hour room service, unlimited tea and coffee in selected venues, wifi access, all gratuities, onboard entertainment and optional insurance cover.
