Royal Caribbean to homeport eight ships in Europe in 2016.

The ships will be deployed at six European ports and call at a total of 80 destinations in 27 countries in the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, Scandinavia and the Baltic Sea.

Royal Caribbean’s latest Oasis-class newbuild, recently named Harmony of the Seas, will homeport in Barcelona, Spain, when she begins her inaugural cruise season in May 2016. The 5,479-passenger ship, which is currently under construction at the Saint-Nazaire yard in France, will sail seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises from the port. Passengers also can board Harmony of the Seas at Civitavecchia in Rome, Italy, for a seven-night roundtrip.

Brilliance of the Seas will also sail from Barcelona, alternating 12-night 'Italian Mediterranean' and 'Greek & Italian Mediterranean' cruises.

Meanwhile, Independence of the Seas will return to the UK port of Southampton to offer 10- to 14-night itineraries to the Mediterranean or the Canary Islands. Also based in Southampton, Navigator of the Seas will provide a series of new six- to 14-night Norwegian Fjords, Baltic, Mediterranean and Canary Islands itineraries.

In the early summer months, Serenade of the Seas will sail seven-night Norwegian Fjords and seven- to 13-night Scandinavia and Russia roundtrips from Copenhagen in Denmark. In June and July, she will homeport in Stockholm, Sweden.

Based in Rome, Rhapsody of the Seas will sail nine-night cruises to the Greek Islands in the early summer and autumn, before offering alternate seven-night voyages to Turkey and the Greek Isles during peak summer months.

Both Vision of the Seas and Jewel of the Seas will sail from Venice, doubling Royal Caribbean’s capacity in the Italian city. While Vision of the Seas will alternate seven-night Greek Isles and Greek Isles and Turkey cruises, Jewel of the Seas will offer new 10-night Greece and Adriatic, and 11-night Greece, Turkey and Croatia voyages.

Royal Caribbean has also unveiled its 2016-2017 Caribbean Adventures Collection.
