Pandaw Cruises is to launch Sabei Pandaw, a double-deck river cruise vessel, on the Mekong River in Southeast Asia in September 2019.

Sabei Pandaw will be the 17th Pandaw vessel and the third in its Laos-based fleet. The vessel has been designed with a shallow draft and powerful engines to overcome the navigational challenges of sailing in the rapids in the Laos gorges all year round.

Onboard, Sabei will have 12 classic Pandaw staterooms – eight on the main deck and four on the upper deck – as well as an open-plan saloon with flexible indoor or outdoor dining. Cuisine will include dishes from Laos and Thailand, while chefs will also prepare international dishes upon request.

Sabei Pandaw will sail between Vientiane, capital of Laos, and Jinghong in China, and will also call at destinations in Thailand and Burma. Highlights include a visit to the ancient Laos capital of Luang Prabang and visits to tribal villages, national parks and the river itself.
