Royal Caribbean International’s new Ovation of the Seas berthed at the Port of Piraeus in Greece for the first time on 15 May.

To mark the occasion, Piraeus Port Authority’s general manager Stavros Hatzakos presented the ship’s captain Henrik Loy with an honorary plaque and books. The ceremony was attended by Dimitris Trifonopoulos, the secretary general of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, and Andreas Stylianopoulos, Royal Caribbean’s Greek representative.

Last week, Piraeus marked the inaugural call of Carnival Cruise Line’s newbuild Carnival Vista.
