MSC Cruises has partnered with global hairstyling brand Jean Louis David and plans to introduce branded salons across its fleet by the end of the year.

Jean Louis David, which currently has more than 1,000 salons worldwide, has already opened salons on MSC Preziosa, MSC Fantasia and MSC Poesia. It will open salons on MSC’s other eight ships, as well as its upcoming newbuilds, which will start with MSC Meraviglia in June 2017.

“This latest announcement reflects our long-term commitment and strategy to bring our guests an ever broader set of unique and often exclusive experiences across our fleet through true, end-to-end partnerships with world-class experts in their field,” said Gianni Onorato, MSC Cruises’ chief executive. “Having another internationally recognised, best-in-class brand onboard means that our guests can trust that they will receive the highest standards of service from exclusively-trained stylists who will not only deliver outstanding care but will feature the latest trends in hairstyling. The announcement adds to an offering that already includes the luxurious MSC Aurea Spa where guests can be pampered from head to toe.”

All onboard stylists will be trained in a range of hair styling and treatments by Jean Louis David specialists, while the brands products will be sold in the salons.

“Just like MSC Cruises, Jean Louis David has always sought excellence in customer service. Both brands offer fashion and lifestyle experience so bringing them together makes immediate sense when it comes to enhancing beauty and providing pleasure and wellbeing,” said Franck Provost, owner of Jean Louis David. “A cruise is a wonderful and special experience for each person, so we are proud to rise to the challenge of adding to the never-be-forgotten holidays.”
