Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ Europa 2 is to make her first two calls in Cuba, the largest of the Antilles islands, this autumn.

On 24 October, Europa 2 will embark on a 12-day cruise from La Guaria in Venezuela, which will also call at Mayreau in the Grenadines; Marigot Bay in St. Lucia; Gustavia in St. Barthelem; Marigot in St. Martin; Jost Van Dyke; and Santiago de Cuba, Cienfuegos and Isla de la Juventud in Cuba.

This will be followed by a 13-day cruise from Havana to Colon in Panama, which will start on 5 November. The ship will also call at Santiago de Cuba; Ocho Rios and Montego Bay in Jamaica; Oranjestad in Aruba; Willemstad in Curacao and Cartagena.

Excursion highlights will include a city tour in Santiago de Cuba, a salsa course in Cienfuegos, a visit to the Variete Tropicana, and a visit to El Floridita, author Ernest Hemingway’s favourite bar. Guests will also be able to enjoy a cable-car ride through the tropical jungle in Marigot Bay, a ride in a semi-submarine in Gustavia and a kayak tour on Aruba’s Great River.
