The DreamWorks Experience and enhanced entertainment in the Adventure Ocean youth programme will headline the entertainment line-up for young passengers on Royal Caribbean International’s newbuild Harmony of the Seas.

Guests on Harmony of the Seas will be able to meet a host of DreamWorks Animation characters including Po from Kung Fu Panda; Shrek, Fiona and Puss in Boots from Shrek; and Alex the Lion, Gloria the Hippo, King Julien and the Penguins from Madagascar. They will also be able to enjoy events and activities including a DreamWorks Character breakfast in the main dining room, ‘meet and greet’ experiences throughout the day, and photo opportunities.

Younger guests can also participate in dance parties, games and adventures rooted in the DreamWorks Animation films at the complimentary Adventure Ocean youth programme. The newest and most popular films will also be shown in the ship’s 3D movie theatre and on a dedicated DreamWorks TV channel in staterooms. For example, Kung Fu Panda 3 will be shown onboard the ship the same day it premiers in theatres on land.

In addition, Royal Caribbean has introduced new features in the entertainment programme in the Adventure Ocean youth programme, which is open to guests aged three to eleven. New offerings include Away We Go! , a black-light puppet show created by Tony award-nominated actors and imaginative producers John Tartaglia and Michael Shawn Lewis of Gable Grove Productions.

Additionally, programming by Muffalo Potato – the popular YouTube show that teaches children to draw anything using only letters and numbers – will round out Harmony of the Seas’s line-up. Muffalo Potato originally debuted aboard Anthem of the Seas and will expand fleetwide this summer.

Royal Caribbean has also added a new collection of family features in the balcony staterooms overlooking the Central Park and Boardwalk outdoor neighbourhoods onboard Harmony of the Seas and her sister ships, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas.

Starting from November 2016, guests with views of Central Park will be able to enjoy lunch for two at Jamie’s Italian on Harmony of the Seas, or Giovanni’s Table onboard Oasis and Allure of the Seas, as well as a complementary bottle of red wine upon arrival and special perks in the Casino Royale.

Meanwhile, guests with Boardwalk views will receive lunch or dinner for four at Johnny Rockets, a soda beverage package for two, and private time on the cruise line’s iconic 38-foot tall rock wall.

Set to debut this May, Harmony of the Seas will be the world’s largest cruise ship, spanning 16 guest decks and weighing 227,000gt. The ship will be able to carry 5,497 guests at double occupancy and features 2,747 staterooms, as well as Royal Caribbean’s exclusive seven neighbourhood concept. This includes Central Park, Boardwalk, the Royal Promenade, the Pool and Sports Zone, Vitality at Sea Spa and Fitness Centre, Entertainment Place and Youth Zone.
