Celebrity Cruises is to invest US$400 million to modernise its entire cruise ship fleet between 2019 and the end of 2023 as part of a new Celebrity Revolution project.

Marking the cruise line’s largest-ever investment initiative, the Celebrity Revolution project will see all nine ships being updated with some of the features and venues that will be introduced on the new Celebrity Edge, which will debut in 2018.

“Celebrity Cruise has always been recognised as an innovative, trend-setting brand, and the Celebrity Revolution is just another instance in which we keep raising the bar in modern luxury travel,” said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, president and CEO of Celebrity Cruises. “This is the largest investment the brand has ever made to modernise our fleet, and it’s for all our guests.”

Following the renovations, suite guests will have access to a new Retreat Sun Deck and a revitalised Retreat Lounge that offers complimentary beverages, gourmet bites and live entertainment. Meanwhile, Celebrity will completely reconfigure all staterooms to increase storage and optimise efficiency with the help of design company Hirsch Bedner Associates. These enhancements will cover the AquaClass, Ocean View, Inside and Signature staterooms, and the Reflection Suites. Guests will also benefit from new cashmere mattresses and bedding collections.

The existing Oceanview Cafés onboard Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Infinity, Celebrity Millennium and Celebrity Summit will be converted into an international marketplace with globally influenced menus.
