Royal Caribbean International’s Anthem of the Seas sailed into her new year-round Cape Liberty Cruise Port in New York, US on 4 November.

Anthem of the Seas, which spent her inaugural season sailing European and Mediterranean itineraries Southampton, UK, will operate Caribbean cruises from New York. Itineraries will vary from seven to 12 nights and take guests to destinations such as the Bahamas, Jamaica, Haiti, Grand Cayman, Mexico, Honduras, Puerto Rico, St. Kitts, Barbados, Martinique and St. Maarten.

The second of Royal Caribbean’s three 167,800gt Quantum-class ships, Anthem of the Seas spans 18 decks and carries 4,180 guests at double occupancy. In addition to 2,090 staterooms – including some with the industry’s first-ever Virtual Balcony staterooms – the ship also features synchronised Roboscreens in the Two70 entertainment venue and robotic bartenders in Bionic Bar. Other entertainment highlights include the RipCord by iFLY indoor skydiving experience, and the North Star glass observation pod and Sea-Plex, the largest indoor sports and entertainment complex at sea with bumper cars, a full-size basketball court, a floating DJ booth and roller skating.

Guests can also enjoy the Dynamic Dining concept, which comprises 18 restaurant concepts and speciality restaurants created with partner-chefs Jamie Oliver, Devin Alexander and Michael Schwartz.
