Celebrity Cruises is to offer 20 unique vacations that enable guests to enjoy immersive onshore trips prior to embarking on their cruise holiday.

Developed in response to customer demand, the Celebrity Explorations will enable guests to participate in onshore guided tours and excursions and stay in luxurious accommodation in a range of destinations across the globe.

“As a modern luxury vacation company, we are in the business of providing outstanding vacation experiences and have been doing so for nearly 25 years,” said Michael Bayley, president and CEO of Celebrity. “With the introduction of Celebrity Explorations, we are giving our guests more of what they value and expect from Celebrity – authentic, immersive and upscale vacation experiences that combine luxury hotels, guided tours by our destination concierges and the best in local dining with a unique selection of ocean cruises and more. Our new style of travel pairs two exceptional vacations in one, and both have been perfectly planned down to the very last detail to create one exhilarating vacation.”

Highlights from the collection of Celebrity Explorations, which range from 11 to 22 nights, include the ‘Sydney & South Pacific’ exploration option. Guests can enjoy a three-night stay in a luxury hotel in the Australian city of Sydney, enabling them to visit attractions such as Sydney Opera House, Sydney Harbour Bridge and Bondi Beach. The guests can then choose from a range of Celebrity cruises sailing through the South Pacific onboard Celebrity Solstice.

Alternatively, passengers can embark on a five-night adventure in Africa, which includes overnight accommodation at a five-star hotel in the Kenyan city of Nairobi, an upscale lodge in Lake Nakuru National Park and a luxurious tented camp in the Masai Mara Game Reserve. Guests can enjoy three fully escorted expeditions before joining Celebrity Eclipse in Southampton, England, to sail along the Iberian Peninsula and through the Canary Islands for 11 to 14 nights.

Meanwhile, guests opting for the customisable 21- to 22-night ‘Amazon & the Antarctic, Argentina or Chile’ exploration can visit South America and stay in upscale accommodations in the Peruvian city of Lima, the Argentinean city of Buenos Aires or Santiago, Chile. Guests then will spend four days sailing down the Amazon River in a luxurious riverboat chartered exclusively for Celebrity, before embarking on a 14- or 15-night cruise onboard Celebrity Infinity, calling at destinations such as Antarctica, Argentina and Chile.
