Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning 2027

60 ASSOCIATION HIGHLIGHTS Cruise associations from across the world share their latest efforts to promote their region as a cruise destination Collaborative growth Cruise Norway is strengthening its role as a national industry association representing cruise ports, destinations and industry partners along the Norwegian coast. Engagement with authorities and policymakers is central to our work. Understanding the entire cruise value chain supports informed decisions and predictable conditions for long-term investment. Our ambition is to keep Norway an attractive and competitive cruise destination through responsible development, emission reductions, shore power, visitor management and local value creation. Responsible cruise tourism requires collaboration between cruise lines, ports, destinations, operators and service providers. Together, we aim to protect nature, respect local communities and create lasting value and positive experiences for residents and visitors alike. Cruise the Great Lakes is strengthening regional collaboration by offering members two new initiatives: webinars and a public relations resource page. The quarterly webinars connect our destination partners directly with cruise line representatives, offering updates and insights into what cruise lines look for when evaluating ports and destinations. The member-only PR Resource Page gives partners access to current cruise statistics, key messages, fact sheets and other tools to help them respond to media enquiries. Together, these initiatives are intended to help our partners become stronger while creating a more informed, coordinated voice for Great Lakes cruising.
