Warren Offer speaks to CFI about the company’s biggest project Celebrity Cruises relaunched Celebrity Solstice in March 2026 following a refurbishment that also included the addition of eight new experiences, including four venues new to the brand. Aquarius Interiors, which manufactures, supplies and installs bespoke curtains, blinds and soft furnishings for cruise ships, played a key role in the renovation. The company had previously worked with MJM Marine on Celebrity Silhouette but, according to Warren Offer, the company’s CEO, Solstice marked its biggest project to date. The project used over two miles of fabric and required 600 curtains and 93 blinds, as well as 7,200 curtain hooks and 8,900 fixings. “We worked in so many areas on Solstice,” said Offer. “For the 70 suites, including the royal suites and penthouses, we installed new curtains, sheers and blinds, plus bed runners and tiebacks. For the 13 public areas, we fitted delicate, sheer fabric from Kvadrat to bring that touch of class to the room.” The four new areas to the brand are Trattoria Rossa, Sunset Park, The Parlor and Boulevard Lounge. “Trattoria Rossa brings the classic Italian restaurant vibe, and we complemented the room with grand, wooden Venetian blinds and dressed them with curtains to add that extra layer of luxury,” said Offer. “The Boulevard Lounge is the perfect getaway while enjoying a show, and we installed new curtains to the stage area and around the room to help give the ultimate Broadway feel.” Aquarius Interiors also supplied new blinds for the passport bar and guest services area; new dim-out roller blinds for Café al Bacio; and silent gliss roller blinds – which help maintain climate and solar control on a ship – to Fine Cut Steakhouse, Blu, The Salon and the Kids Area. “In Cellar Masters, the ship’s wine bar, we installed new curtains and sheers to bring a touch of elegance,” said Offer. “Curtains use a two-tone material that is only made in our workshop in Coventry, England. And for Martini Bar & Crush, we dressed the space with elegant sheers to give a luxurious style to the room. Guests can then unwind while sipping their martini, shaken like James Bond.” Photo: Celebrity Cruises
