However, it ’s always the service elements that will set a premium cruise ship apart from a more standard product. It is important to give consumers the whole package, so all elements of the experience need to be on point. For example, I may favour one restaurant over another based upon the available food choices and the type of service. However, the interior design of the restaurant will also assist in determining the overall quality of my experience. Within onboard retail spaces, it is key to attract customers with a unique experience. This includes interior décor, lighting, product packaging and a high level of personal service.
