2 6 MARKETWATCH Discovering an Aegean gem Bozcaada, also known by its former Greek name Tenedos, is a small island in the Aegean Sea. The port appears in Homer’s Illiad , in which the island is named as the home of the Greek fleet during the legendary Trojan War. The island sits at a strategic position at the mouth of the Dardanelles Strait, and has been occupied by many different civilisations including the Greeks, Persians, Romans, Byzantines and others. Today, traces of these civilisations can be found across Bozcaada. Guests to the island can visit the historical sites before taking in the wonderful beaches, delicious cuisine and famous vineyards. The government of St. Petersburg is to establish a unified operator for all of its passenger terminals and the passenger port of St. Petersburg Marine Façade in Russia. The company will manage a total of seven terminals and 15 berths, spread across the passenger port, the city centre, and the Morskoy Vokzal terminal. As St. Petersburg is the sole shareholder of Marine Façade, all of the terminals will belong to the city. St Petersburg establishes unified operator for passenger terminals Spanish ferry operator Baleària has submitted a bid for the tender for the construction and operation of a new passenger terminal at the Port of Valencia in Spain. Baleària’s bid is the only one that has been submitted for the infrastructure, which will be constructed in the 100,000-square- metre space previously occupied by the Unión Naval de Valencia shipyard. It will be powered by electricity generated entirely at the facilities from renewable sources. The concession will be granted for a period of 35 years, extendable to a maximum of 50 years.
