Custom-made luxury on Seven Seas Splendor “Perfecting luxury is about obsessing over large and small details. From specially commissioned one-of-a-kind artwork to visually stimulating touches throughout the ship, each space on Seven Seas Splendor will display finely tailored designs that offer a comfortable and stylish experience for luxury travelers. Seven Seas Splendor [expected to debut in February 2020] will be one of the world’s most spacious, intimate and beautiful ships ever to sail the globe,” said Jason Montague, president and CEO of Regent Seven Seas Cruises. Creating new perspectives Suite success for Celebrity Cruises “At Royal Caribbean International, we’re constantly using design to alter the perspective of the room environment. Uplighting and mirrors can help ceilings feel taller. The right pattern on a carpet can lengthen or shorten a space, or provide a subliminal help with wayfinding. Our ships can have very long corridors, so the architects insert fake arches or obstacles to make them appear shorter. One particular feature that really stands out is on Quantum of the Seas; we introduced lenticular wall art, which changes whether you’re walking fore or aft,” said Ben Bouldin, associate vice president and managing director for UK & Ireland at Royal Caribbean International. “We are delighted with the outcome of the refit of Celebrity Millenium and Celebrity Summit – the suites look amazing! Our team delivered a stunning finish as always and we look forward to working with the Celebrity brand on future projects,” said Simon Dawkins, Cruise Key Account Manager at Trimline.
