109 The Cradle to Cradle standard provides designers, manufacturers, and suppliers with a framework for continually improving what products are made of and how they are made. The categories covered by the standard are Material Health (chemicals and materials prioritise protection of human health and environment); Product Circularity (products designed for their next use and recycling pathways); Clean Air & Climate Protection (manufacturing has a positive impact on air quality, renewable energy supply and the balance of GHGs); Water & Soil Stewardship (water and soil treated as precious shared resources); and Social Fairness (companies committed to human rights and fair and equitable business practices).
