Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning 2027

35 MAIDEN SEASON Legend of the Seas Royal Caribbean’s third Icon-class ship spent a summer in the Western Mediterranean before heading to the Caribbean for the winter season Photo: Royal Caribbean Group Legend of the Seas entered service on 4 July 2026 with a seven-night Western Mediterranean voyage from Civitavecchia, Italy, calling at La Spezia in Italy, Marseille in France and Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca in Spain with two sea days. Departures from Barcelona, Spain, began in August, with Naples, Italy, added to later itineraries. Week-long sailings ran until mid-October, with port sequences varying by sailing, before a three-night Civitavecchia sailing on 22 October closed the European programme. Calling at Civitavecchia gives guests access to sites in Rome such as the Colosseum and the Vatican, while visiting Naples allows them to explore Pompeii and Capri. Meanwhile in Barcelona, passengers can head to the Gothic Quarter and the Sagrada Família, before going to Palma to see La Seu cathedral towering over the city’s old town. Marseille, with a call running from mid-morning to late afternoon, offers the opportunity to visit Calanques National Park in Provence. At La Spezia, where guests tender onshore, excursions reach Cinque Terre, Pisa and Florence. On 25 October, the ship crossed the Atlantic from Barcelona to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on a 13-night voyage, arriving on 7 November. Once there, Legend of the Seas will sail a series of threenight cruises to private island destination Perfect Day at CocoCay, including a naming cruise on 11 November. The first eight-night Southern Caribbean voyage will set sail on 14 November, heading to Willemstad in Curaçao, whose historic centre is a Unesco World Heritage Site, and Oranjestad in Aruba, with the order varying by sailing, before calling at Cabo Rojo in the Dominican Republic and Perfect Day at CocoCay in The Bahamas. Six-night Western Caribbean sailings begin on 22 November. Royal Caribbean revised several of the voyages ahead of launch, adding calls at Cozumel and turning a sea day into a call at Costa Maya, so guests now visit both Mexican ports on consecutive days alongside Perfect Day at CocoCay.
