Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning 2027

Port of Naples successfully completes first LNG refuelling The Port of Naples has completed its first LNG refuelling operation for Princess Cruises’ Sun Princess in a collaboration between energy company Axpo and Terminal Napoli. The operation followed months of technical and regulatory work involving local maritime authorities, Terminal Napoli, Axpo and engineering specialists to establish procedures for ship-to-ship LNG bunkering. The milestone expands the range of fuelling options available to cruise ships calling at the port, which welcomes around 1.8 million cruise passengers and over 10 million total travellers per year. Port Tampa Bay in Florida has started work on its fourth cruise terminal, which will enable the port to handle more than 200 additional calls and up to two million passengers per year. Estimates suggest the facility will also help the port generate an extra $100 million in annual economic impact. Kimmins Contracting Corporation is leading site preparation works for the terminal and the parking garage, which have been designed by HDR and BEA Architects. Construction is expected to be complete by 2029.
