Cruise & Ferry Itinerary Planning 2026

51 MAIDEN SEASON Orient Express Corinthian The first vessel for Orient Express Sailing Yachts will follow the winds to explore the Mediterranean and Adriatic Debuting in May 2026, Orient Express Corinthian will be the first vessel in the Orient Express Sailing Yachts fleet, carrying the storied travel brand to sea for the first time. The vessel will present a unique silhouette with three tilting, rotating masts supporting 1,500 square metres of rigid sails that will harness the power of the wind to reduce the ship’s use of conventional fuels. Architect Maxime d’Angeac, artistic director of Orient Express, designed the yacht, which features a decor inspired by the golden age of the Orient Express train. All rooms are decorated with wood, leather and marble, and onboard venues include a 1930s-style speakeasy and a cabaret venue with 115 seats. The vessel will start sailing with a season of 27 itineraries through the Mediterranean and Adriatic Seas. Ranging from two to eight nights, Orient Express Sailing Yachts’ voyages have been designed to follow the coast and take advantage of favourable winds to minimise environmental impact. Orient Express Corinthian will call at 35 ports during its maiden season, with several of the visits timed to coincide with local celebrations in the destinations. Guests will be able to explore Venice, Italy, during the Biennale Arte di Venezia, one of the world’s most prestigious contemporary art exhibitions, while the yacht’s call in SaintTropez, France, will take place during the Voiles de Saint-Tropez regatta. The season will also include stops at less well-known destinations, including Portoferraio on the island of Elba, the site of French general Napoleon Bonaparte’s first exile; Saint-Florent, a fishing port in Corsica; and Lerici, a town on the Gulf of La Spezia, otherwise known as the Gulf of Poets. In several of these ports of call, Orient Express Sailing Yachts will offer exclusive shore excursions for its guests. These will include access to archaeological sites in Pompeii, Italy; a private tour and dinner on top of the Peggy Guggenheim Museum in Venice; and a race car driving experience on the Circuit Paul Ricard near Marseille, France.
