59 PLANNER PERSPECTIVE Making luxury travel meaningful A private dive in the Caribbean and after-hours access to the Acropolis, Four Seasons Yachts’ Ben Trodd provides Richard Humphreys with a teaser of what guests can expect on Four Seasons I Four Seasons I, the first vessel in the Four Seasons Yacht fleet, will set sail in March 2026, travelling to destinations throughout the Mediterranean and Caribbean during its inaugural season. Four Seasons I will begin by visiting France, Greece Italy, Spain and Turkey. A highlight of its Greek itineraries is a private tour of a Unesco World Heritage Site. “Guests will discover Athens on a guided driving tour, culminating in exclusive, after-hours access to the Acropolis and dinner at one of the area’s most celebrated restaurants,” says Ben Trodd, CEO of Four Seasons Yachts. The marina experiences and seaside programming will take place on dedicated days, highlighting picturesque locations from the island of Mayreau and Soufriere Bay in the Caribbean to the Gulf of Squillace and Monte Argentario in the Mediterranean. In each locale, guests can choose from a handful of pre-selected, curated activities or engage with an ‘experience concierge’, who will help craft a highly personalised trip. “There are so many different ways one can explore a destination, but today’s luxury traveller wants to discover extraordinary places in new, exclusive and unique ways,” says Trodd.. “Meaningful access is what transforms a destination from something you’ve seen to something you’ve truly experienced.” Shore and sea experiences are divided into adventure, exploration, culture, culinary, relaxation and shopping categories. “These are led by local experts – including geologists, historians, folklorists and even cricketing legends,” says Trodd. Later in 2026, the Caribbean voyages take guests to countries and islands such as Anguilla, the British Virgin Islands, Dominica, Guadeloupe and Saint Lucia, among others.
