Families will also have the widest choice of accommodation onboard any Royal Caribbean ship, with many of the 2,805 suites and staterooms incorporating amenities designed for multigenerational groups. Among the most impressive will be the three-deck Ultimate Family Townhouse, which will sleep eight and has been remodelled to provide more purpose-built space for both adults and children. Children will have a bedroom with two twin beds and a lofted space with bunkbeds, while adults will have a separate master bedroom with a private balcony and bathroom. Other facilities will include two extra bathrooms, a living room, a dining room with an interactive gaming table, a kitchenette, a cinema, a ping pong table, a twostorey slide, a hot tub and a wraparound balcony offering direct access to Surfside via a private patio. Artwork will be displayed in both the accommodation and public areas to elevate the onboard experience and showcase the destinations the ship will visit. The most prominent piece will be The Pearl, a three-deck-high sphere that will serve as both an essential structural element and the world’s largest kinetic art sculpture. The brand has evolved the design from previous Icon vessels to include moving LED panels displaying colourful animations.
