94 Senior executives, technical experts and operational leaders from the global ferry industry will gather at the Interferry2026 conference – to be held at the Shangri-La Bangkok on the banks of Thailand’s Chao Phraya River from 31 October to 4 November – to discuss the sector’s most pressing challenges and biggest opportunities. Delegates will participate in a programme structured around the industry’s principal operational areas and debate critical topics under three main headings: ‘People – Our Most Important Assets’, ‘Lifeline and Commuter Services’, and ‘Large Ferry Operators Perspectives’. After a weekend of pre-event tours and activities, Interferry CEO Mike Corrigan will open the conference and conference host and Interferry president Supapan Pichaironarongsongkram, chairperson of Chao Phraya Express Boat Co., will welcome delegates to Bangkok. A defining hallmark of Interferry2026 is its deep regional integration, which is reflected in the choice of the first keynote speaker, Rear Admiral Surasant Kongsiri of the Royal Thai Navy. Kongsiri will officially welcome the delegates to Thailand before offering opening perspectives on maritime history, regional security, and current global geopolitical dynamics impacting trade and passenger movement.
