Cruise & Ferry Review - Spring/Summer 2022

FEATURE 1 6 0 “As a well-respected interior outfitter, Trimline works closely with owners and designers to ensure the overall aesthetic of a space is achieved in a practical and often cost-conscious way. Sustainability and innovation are always front of mind when proposing enhancement to the specification. During the recent refit of Marella Cruises’ Marella Explorer, Trimline installed an ultra-high efficiency lighting system in the main double-height restaurant which is 15 per cent more efficient than standard LED drivers. Changing the existing lighting over to this system will save 130 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions per year.” Simon Dawkins, Director of Sales at Trimline “Having visited the Cruise Ship Interiors Expo Europe at the Excel centre last December, I was inspired by many of the supplier’s showcasing new products. Kettal’s outdoor furniture has always been a favourite of M Studio and it was great to see the new range of models and colours available. Of particular interest was that Kettal can custom colour all items within the range. In addition, Caneline also had new products and colours available within the range that we knew M Studio could specify for upcoming projects. The fact that Caneline hold large stock of the range has proven beneficial for quick turnaround when it is required. It is exciting that we are now able to specify these products for upcoming cruise ship projects for the deck areas.” Alan McVitty, Founder and CEO of M Studio Photo: Kettal
