1 6 CFI CURATED Disney Cruise Line reveals design of Disney Wish D isney Cruise Line has revealed that its new ship Disney Wish will feature interiors inspired by the motif of enchantment when she sets sail on 9 June 2022. “Daring to dream even bigger, our Imagineers are creating a breathtaking new world of enchantment aboard the Disney Wish,” said Laura Cabo, portfolio creative executive at Walt Disney Imagineering. “This motif provides the perfect platform to infuse Disney storytelling into every aspect of the design, giving the Disney Wish its own unique personality and a completely new look unlike anything else at sea.” Guests will be taken into The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse animated shorts onboard AquaMouse, a water ride suspended above the upper decks complete with show scenes, lighting and special effects. A Toy Story district designed for families with toddlers and young children will include a splash pool, wading pool, family water slide and smoothie bar, while adults can visit Quiet Cove, featuring an infinity pool, poolside bar and café. Three new family dining concepts will be debuted onboard the ship. Arendelle: A Frozen Dining Adventure will be Disney’s first Frozen -themed dining venue, featuring characters from the film in live entertainment alongside cuisine with Nordic influences. Worlds of Marvel will be the first Marvel dining experience, with guests playing a role in an Avengers mission taking place around them, while the 1923 restaurant, named for the year the Walt Disney Company was founded in California, will feature dishes inspired by the US state’s cuisine. Among the new public spaces onboard will be the Grand Hall, which will feature Gothic, Baroque and French Rococo design influences in its three-storey columns and chandelier hanging over the atrium. The Star Wars: Hyperspace Lounge bar will be styled as a luxurious yacht-class spaceship from the world of Star Wars , offering beverages inspired by locations seen in the films.
