3 9 A-ROSA River Cruises has resumed voyages across all the rivers on which it operates. After successfully restarting cruises along the Douro river in Portugal, the river cruise line recommenced sailings on the Rhine on 17 June, the Danube on 20 June and the Rhône in France. Hapag-Lloyd Cruises’ luxury ship Europa 2 and expedition ship Hanseatic inspiration began cruising from Hamburg, Germany, at the end of July. The ships are sailing eight short cruises to and from the port, initially limited to residents of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 1 and Mein Schiff 2 began sailing in July from the German ports of Hamburg and Kiel, offering five- and seven-day trips in the North and Baltic Seas. From September, they will be joined by Mein Schiff 6, which will sail seven-day cruises to and from Crete, Greece. AIDA Cruises is planning to resume cruise operations from German ports in September. The first voyages from Kiel will set sail on 6 September, while AIDAperla will depart from Hamburg, Germany to the Norwegian fjords on 12, 19 and 26 September.
