Fincantieri has delivered Carnival Panorama to Carnival Cruise Line at its yard in Marghera, Italy.
Carnival Panorama, which is the brand’s 27th ship, will now sail to Long Beach, California for her christening ceremony and a three-day maiden voyage to Ensenada in Mexico, which departs on 11 December. She will be the first new Carnival ship to homeport on the US West Coast for 20 years and offer year-round ‘Mexican Riviera’ itineraries from Long Beach, which will last seven days and call at destinations like Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas and Mazatlan.
“Carnival Panorama is the 15th ship built by Fincantieri for Carnival Cruise Line and once again, the skill and hard work of hundreds of talented craftspeople are on display here aboard the beautiful Carnival Panorama,” said Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line. “Our guests absolutely love Carnival Vista and Horizon and we are certain they are going to love their sister Carnival Panorama.”
Designed as a sister to Carnival Vista and Carnival Horizon, the 133,500gt Carnival Panorama is the third of Carnival’s Vista-class ships. The vessel offers various accommodation categories, including Cloud 9 Spa staterooms; tropics-inspired Havana staterooms, which provide access to an exclusive Cuban-themed bar and pool; and Family Harbor with larger staterooms and the Family Harbor Lounge.
Onboard innovations will include the first Sky Zone trampoline park at sea and Carnival’s first culinary studio where guests can participate in cooking classes, tastings and other activities hosted by the ship’s chefs.
Guests will also be able to enjoy familiar Carnival Fun Ship 2.0 venues, such as Cloud 9 Spa, the WaterWorks aqua park, Ocean Plaza indoor and outdoor dining and entertainment venue, and Guy’s Pig & Anchor Bar-B-Que Smokehouse Brewhouse.
