Viking Cruises is to offer the world’s longest-ever continuous cruise in 2019.

Departing from London, UK on 31 August 2019, the 930-guest Viking Sun will sail a 245-day ‘Ultimate World Cruise’, which will take guests to 113 ports in 59 countries on six continents, thereby completing a circumnavigation of the globe. The itinerary will also include 22 overnight stays in ports.

Highlights of the ‘Ultimate World Cruise’ will include calls in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; Hobart, Tasmania; Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam; Mumbai, India; Ushuaia, Tierra del Fuego; and Luxor, Egypt visits to eight all-new Viking ports in South America: Roseau, Dominica; La Serena Coquimbo and Iquique, Chile; Arequipa, Pisco and Lima, Peru; and Quito and Manta, Ecuador; and Fuerte Amador, Panama.

Viking will also offer guests the option to sail one of two shorter segments during the full world cruise. Guests can choose a 127-day ‘Viking World Treasures’ sailing from London to Los Angeles, California, which visits 33 countries and 61 ports. Alternatively, they can choose a 119-day ‘Viking World Wonders’ journey from Los Angeles to London that visits 29 countries and 55 ports.
