The Transas Global Conference provides a forum for debating the future of the shipping industry.

This year, the event will be themed ‘Uniting global stakeholders in the era of the digital maritime operations’ and aims to help develop the ideas and solutions that will make shipping smarter, safer and more profitable in the digital era.

The conference is expected to attract more than 400 delegates, representing shipowners, operators and managers, training providers, ports, regulators, resellers, communication providers and others. Two game-changing initiatives will be announced at the event.

Some of the confirmed industry speakers include David Christie, senior vice president of Corporate Maritime Quality Assurance at Carnival Corporation; Captain Hans Hederström, managing director of Carnival Corporation’s CSMART Academy; Jörn Springer, senior director and head of Fleet Support Center at Hapag-Lloyd; and Captain Naoki Saito, manager of Certification Service Planning Department at ClassNK.
