Indian travel agency Tirun Travel Marketing has signed a partnership with Singapore Tourism Board to charter Royal Caribbean International’s Voyager of the Seas ship for sailings out of Singapore.

Part of the recently enhanced Cruise Development Fund, the agreement will enable Tirun to offer Indian customers the chance to visit destinations in Southeast Asia.

Ranging from three to eight nights, Voyager of the Seas’ itineraries have been specifically designed to take Indian travellers, particularly families, from Singapore to popular Asia destinations. Ports of call will include Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; Phuket and Bangkok, Thailand; Hong Kong; Nha Trang in Vietnam; and more. The itineraries will be offered

“Sailing from Singapore isn’t only very easy, it’s also the most cost-effective alternative,” said Ratna Chadha, chief executive at Tirun. “The itineraries have been designed to give cruisers a perfect glimpse into the diversity and splendour of South East Asian culture, while also offering them the added attraction of Indian food onboard. The sailing dates have also been strategically planned to coincide with summer vacations in India. It has been a fruitful collaboration with Singapore Tourism Board, thanks to which we have managed to enhance our reach and capture a larger market in the Indian traveller segment.”

Voyager of the Seas offers 15 decks with 13 bars and lounges, eight multi-cuisine restaurants, five entertainment options, more than ten pools and whirlpools, a rock climbing wall, an ice skating rink, the ‘Flow Rider’ surf simulator and more.
