The Entertainment Department (ted) will provide all entertainment onboard Thomson Cruises’ new TUI Explorer from May 2018, as well as another yet-to-be-named vessel, which is currently sailing as Mein Schiff 2 for TUI Cruises.

Created by the in-house ted team, the programme has been designed to suit customers of all ages. It includes original theatre shows, light entertainment, musical performances and children’s concepts, all of which embrace technologies such as virtual reality and interactive screens.

“To have our talent performing on a Thomson Cruises platform, delivering our bespoke shows is a great achievement,” said Robin Breese-Davies, ted CEO. “We are proud to be partnering with Thomson Cruises on the new ships entering its fleet and to be offering something distinctive from our competition. We see the award of the business as a perfect fit alongside our other valued land-based clients across the UK and internationally and we look forward entertaining the Thomson Cruises customer.”

Richard Sofer, managing director at Thomson Cruises, said: “We’re committed to ensuring we provide choice and flexibility across our fleet coupled with the highest of standards and we have no doubt that ted will do just that with the entertainment. We can’t wait for our customers to experience it.”
