Tauck has waived single supplement fees on its Category 1 European riverboat cabins and introduced various discounted prices for solo travellers booking 2016 itineraries.

The waived single supplement applies for every Category 1 cabin on more than 220 Tauck river cruise departures next year. In addition, Tauck is reducing the single supplement by up to £650 on 170 departures of 60 itineraries to four continents.

“The cost savings we’re extending to solo travellers are obviously considerable, but they’re only one reason why our land tours and cruises are perfect for those travelling without a companion,” said Dan Mahar, Tauck CEO. “At Tauck we handle all of the advance planning prior to the trip’s start, and all of the details once the trip is underway, so there’s no burden or hassle for the traveller. And of course, solo travellers love the camaraderie and sense of assurance they get from being part of a Tauck group.”

Solo travellers booking Category 4 and 5 cabins on 48 departures will be eligible for a £650 discount, while Tauck has also reduced the single supplement by up to £260 on 45 departures of 17 different land tours in Europe. Single supplements have been decreased by up to £200 on 53 departures of 19 North America itineraries. Plus, the line has cut the single supplement to £400 on 24 departures of nine trips in Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
