Survival and safety solutions provider Survitec has received global Z-17 Service Provider approval from RINA. The certification covers Survitec’s maintenance and servicing of fire equipment, inflatable life rafts, life jackets, lifeboats, marine evacuation systems (MES), self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) and launching appliances.

The Z-17 approval assures customers that RINA-classed vessels can safely use Survitec, as all work is accepted by RINA surveyors.

“At Survitec, we are proudly obsessive about excellence, and this approval from RINA speaks to our commitment to delivering world-class solutions and performance levels we can be proud of,” said Mats Hestmann, manager of Group Quality, Health and Safety at Survitec.

“Survitec will continue to monitor its internal control functions, to ensure that we operate safely and in accordance with our own qualification procedures.”

According to Hestmann, Survitec trains its teams to provide inspection and maintenance services across multiple brands, “making it much easier for ship and fleet managers’ to ensure the safety and survival systems are certified, compliant and, above all, safe, saving time and money.”

“We now offer customers a true one-stop-shop for all their ship fire-fighting and survival products.”
