Silversea’s Silver Whisper has commenced its 121-day voyage around the world, sailing from Los Angeles earlier this week.

The ship will travel to the Pacific islands, Asia and Arabia before concluding in May in Rome, Italy.

In Melbourne, Austrialia, guests will experience an evening of performance with the award-winning singer Kate Ceberano. In Hong Kong, they will be served local delicacies at the Verandah Restaurant at The Repulse Bay hotel and in Sorrento, Italy, guests will enjoy a gala dinner with musical entertainment at the Grand Hotel Excelsior Vittoria along with a firework show.

Next year’s World Cruise 2019, The Tale of Tales, is a 132-day journey from San Francisco to London. Silver Whisper, will travel to 52 ports in 31 countries across five continents.

On next year’s voyage, Silversea has invited nine writers who will each create a short story inspired by regions of natural beauty. Travel writers and novelists Paul Theroux and Pico Iyer are already confirmed to join the ship next year.
