Silversea Cruises has launched a collection of wellness-themed expedition cruises, which will take place onboard Silver Discoverer 2016 and 2017.

Silversea has partnered with Technogym to create a comprehensive and complimentary programme that includes stretching, yoga, and Pilates classes held onboard and onshore (depending on location), as well as fitness classes conducted in the ship’s swimming pool and gym sessions led by personal trainers using Technogym fitness equipment. Guests will also receive a choice of one complimentary spa massage treatment and will be able to attend daily lectures and cooking demonstrations on the benefits of healthy and balanced nutrition.

A dedicated team of wellness specialists will also be available on the cruise, including fitness lifestyle expert Natasha Eksteen, yoga instructor Jenni Kauppila and nutritionist Dalila Roglieri.

“We want to enable our guests to focus on their personal well-being as they journey to discover some of the world's most fascinating places and unique cultures,” said Lisa McAuley, commercial director of the UK and Ireland at Silversea. “Each wellness theme cruise offers a well-balanced programme of fitness education, exercise, and nutritional guidance, plus an indulgent spa treatment. These voyages are great for travellers seeking a personal journey to wellness to complement their quest for adventure.”

The ‘Wellness Expedition Voyages’ are designed to provide guests with the opportunity to improve their well-being while journeying to destinations in Southeast Asia, Australia, Oceania, Africa and the Indian Ocean.
