China-based hospitality firm will promote and sell cruises in China, Hong Kong and Macau

Silversea Cruises has partnered with China-based hospitality company Plateno Group to expand its brand and reach new customers in mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.
As part of the agreement, Plateno will promote Silversea’s brand to local consumers and sell cruises offered by the line’s nine classic and expedition vessels in all global destinations.
“In our quest to become the world’s leading hotel group, we are always looking for new opportunities to bring value and new experiences to our guests, and this partnership agreement with Silversea will provide an exclusive opportunity for us to showcase the leading luxury hospitality experience at sea,” said Zheng Nanyan, chief brand architect, board chairman, and founder of Plateno. “We look forward to continuing the work Silversea has started in the Chinese market, and are excited to be in a position to be able to introduce the brand to a much broader audience and demographic.”
Silversea hopes to use Plateno’s insights and experience in the Asian markets to gain exclusive access to commercial avenues in the region.
