Silversea Cruises has partnered with marine conservation charity Orca to give guests the opportunity to engage with marine life and contribute to ongoing marine conservation work by helping to collect critical sightings data of whales, dolphins and porpoises.

Orca conservationists will travel onboard select voyages and contribute to the Silversea enrichment programme by sharing their knowledge of marine life with guests.

“We strongly believe when guests travel with Silversea they become ambassadors for both the destinations and wildlife across the globe,” said Erin Johnson, Silversea marketing director, UK and Ireland. “Silversea is committed to responsible cruising and with our guests will ensure that generations to come can enjoy the wonders of our oceans.”

“The entire Orca team are incredibly excited to be working with Silversea Cruises, and this partnership will allow us to reach parts of the world we have never visited,” said Lucy Babey, Orca head of science and conservation. “This new programme will help us shine a light on some of the most diverse and beautiful marine spaces on the planet, making a significant impact in protecting the wonderful whales, dolphins and porpoises in our oceans.”
