Seabourn Cruise Line’s newest vessel, Seabourn Encore, has completed sea trials off the coast of Italy in the Adriatic Sea.

After departing Fincantieri’s Marghera shipyard on 4 November, Seabourn Encore spent three days at sea to enable a team of officers and engineers to test her technical and mechanical systems. Seabourn Encore returned to Marghera on 7 November for final outfitting before she is officially delivered to Seabourn at the end of the month.

Modelled on Seabourn’s Odyssey-class ships, the 40,350gt Seabourn Encore is the first of two luxury cruise ships Fincantieri will build for the line over the next three years. The ship will be configured with one additional deck, new expanded public areas, suites with private verandas and will carry just 600 guests. All interiors have been created by renowned by hospitality designer Adam D. Tihany.

Seabourn Encore’s sister ship, Seabourn Ovation, will join the fleet in 2018.
