Royal Caribbean International is to base two ships at Cape Liberty in New Jersey, US for the first time in summer 2017.

Rhapsody of the Seas will join Anthem of the Seas in Cape Liberty, New Jersey to sail Caribbean itineraries throughout the summer.

Rhapsody of the Seas will sail seven-night itineraries to the Bahamas throughout the summer, and Anthem of the Seas will sail to Bermuda in the summer and the Caribbean year-round on five-, seven- and nine-night itineraries. In the autumn months, Anthem of the Seas will sail nine-night voyages to New England and Canada.

Grandeur of the Seas will sail from Baltimore all year, offering five-night cruises to Bermuda, a nine-night voyage to New England and Canada, a new nine-night itinerary to Nassau and CocoCay, Bahamas. The ship will also sail 12-night itineraries to Southern Caribbean destinations, including the US Virgin Islands and St. Kitts and St. Maarten.

Based in Miami, Navigator of the Seas will sail five- and nine-night itineraries to Southern Caribbean destinations such as Aruba and Bonaire, while Independence of the Seas will offer four- and five-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to Costa Maya and Cozumel Mexico; Falmouth, Jamaica; and Labadee, Haiti. Also based in Fort Lauderdale, Freedom of the Seas will offer six- and eight-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries, while Serenade of the Seas will sail ten- and 11-night Caribbean itineraries, calling at a new port in Ponce, Puerto Rico.

Rhapsody of the Seas will relocate to Tampa, Florida for the winter season and sail seven-night Western Caribbean itineraries. She will be joined by Brilliance of the Seas, which will operate four- and five-night itineraries to Key West, Cozumel, Mexico and Grand Cayman.

Meanwhile, Jewel of the Seas will sail seven-night voyages from San Juan, Puerto Rico to destinations such as St. Lucia, St. Kitts and Nevis, and Barbados.
