Piraeus Port Authority hosted a maiden call from Ponant’s new expedition cruise ship Le Lapérouse on 5 October.

Le Lapérouse, which is the first of six new 180-guest ships in the Ponant Explorer Series vessels and was christened in Iceland on 10 July, called during a cruise around the Greek islands.

The vessel was welcomed by the port authority’s management team, who also presented her master, David Marionneau, with an honorary plaque to commemorate the inaugural visit and some books for the onboard library.

TUI Cruises’ Mein Schiff 4 also made her debut at the Port of Piraeus on 2 October.
