By the end of the 2013 season, Alanya Cruise Port in Turkey expects to have handled 53 cruise ships and 56,000 passengers, marking a 50% increase since 2012.

This year, the purpose-built cruise terminal – located in the centre of Alanya – welcomed its largest ever ship when the 103,000 gt Costa Magica docked on 15 February 2013. Norwegian Cruise Lines’ Norwegian Jade was a regular visitor, calling at the port every three weeks between October 2012 and April 2013.

Holland America Line’s Prinsendam and Rotterdam will also make maiden calls in Alanya in November 2013.

Alanya also hosted the 43rd MedCruise General Assembly from 13-15 November 2013, welcoming representatives from a range of ports, cruise and ferry lines.

Situated on the east side of the Gulf of Antalya on the Turkish Riviera, Alanya lies on routes connecting the ports of the Greek Islands, Israel, Egypt, and Cyprus.
