Oceania Cruises is to revamp the six Owner’s Suites onboard both of its 1,250-guest ships Marina and Riviera with furniture, soft furnishings and fabrics and upholstery exclusively from US-based designer Ralph Lauren.

All 12 suites have been completely redesigned as part of the line’s OceaniaNEXT fleet enhancement initiative.

“The Owner’s Suites furnished exclusively with Ralph Lauren Home are signature elements of our brand and truly iconic,” said Bob Binder, president and CEO of Oceania Cruises. “As we are always looking for ways to elevate the guest experience we took the opportunity to completely remaster these suites and provide our guests with an entirely new experience. Everything from the furnishings to the artwork is new, and guests will feel as though they are sailing aboard one of the world’s most glamorous yachts or living in an opulent estate home.”

Los Angeles-based company Trevor R. Howells Interior Design has reimagined the suites to reflect Ralph Lauren’s passions for “sailing, Hollywood glamour and timeless, classical beauty”. Each one will be decorated with a Ralph Lauren’s signature navy, white, crème and camel colour palette.

The foyer of each suite will feature a limestone and black cabochon inset floor, walls of inset Georgian wood panelling, a mahogany and quartzite bar, a self-playing ebony piano and floor-to-ceiling windows with curtains made from Ralph Lauren’s Grimaldi-weave sail fabric. Other highlights will include balcony furniture custom-crafted exclusively for Oceania Cruises; a Mayfair dining table with a new Barrett Knurled chandelier in the dining room; and a new saddle-suede sectional sofa and a mahogany Lounge Moderne chair with striped upholstery in the lounge. The master bedrooms will be equipped with a new Cote D'Azure king-size bed, Mayfair Bergere side chairs and nickel-trimmed lighting accents.

“The Ralph Lauren Home furnishings, lighting, fabric and accessories along with the art selection have been carefully curated to highlight the fabled American brand’s ever-present mix of modern luxury and timeless style,” said Howells, principal designer and an alumnus of Ralph Lauren Creative Services.

Guests will be able to stay in the new Owner’s Suites on Riviera from April 2019 and Marina from May 2020. Oceania Cruises will share additional details about other enhancements and new guest experiences that will debut on both ships in early 2019.
